Mudra of the Month

Chin Mudra
Gesture of Consciousness for Cultivating Surrender to the Divine

Join the tips of the thumbs to tips of index fingers of each hand, forming a circle.  Extend the other three fingers.  Turn the palms down, resting the hands on the thighs or knees.  Relax the shoulders back and down, while sitting upright and with ease.  This mudra is especially helpful for recognizing and honoring the Divine order within all of creation’s mystery.  Holding this gesture cultivates quieting of the mind.

In addition to her painting, Kim creates images with sand, pen, and ink, and impermanent works.

Art by Missy CoryMissy’s art is inspired by musings on time and space, more specifically the neuroscience of memory and emotions…how we experience
moments in time and how we
imprint them, how they shape us.
